Including family members in a programme: age limits, extra fees, marriage and birth certificates.
Planning meeting 2,500 TRY
In most immigration programmes, a spouse, dependent children and, in some programmes, parents are included together with the main applicant. However, age limits, the definition of family and extra fees differ from country to country.
Examples of family coverage
- Caribbean programmes: generally spouse, children under 18-25 and parents over 55-65; a fixed amount up to a certain family size.
- Greek golden visa: spouse, children under 21 and parents (including the spouse's parents).
- Skilled work permits: an accompaniment application for spouse and children; the spouse's right to work varies by country.
Required documents
- Marriage and birth certificates (apostilled, with sworn translation)
- For each family member a passport, photo, criminal record and medical report
- For children, a custody decision or the other parent's notarised consent
- Relevant court/civil registry documents in cases such as divorce or death
Is later family reunification possible?
In many programmes children born later or a newly married spouse can be added for an extra fee. But if the age limit is exceeded, family members can fall outside coverage. It is therefore important to plan the family before applying.
Fee
The family file planning meeting is 2,500 TRY and is credited if you buy a package. For each additional family member the file management fee rises by 20-35% depending on the programme.
